Troubleshooting Zapier Actions

I get an error message "Failed to add new participant. The requested contract does not exist or the user does not have access to it." while adding a participant

  • If you get the above error while adding a participant to a contract, check if the contract is not deleted or if you have access to the contract.
  • To check if the contract is deleted, navigate to the contract in Oneflow and see if it is visible to your account.
  • Make sure you are adding the participant with the same account as you used to create the Zap.
Failed to add new participant. The contract cannot be modified because the current user is not a participant.. while adding a participant

  • This error happens when the logged in user does not have the access to the provided contract.
  • Check whether the contact appears in your oneflow account and you can make changes to it.
  • Make sure the Oneflow account you used in the zap has access to the contract you are trying to send.
I get an error message "Failed to add new participant. Invalid format or content of the provided contract ID." while adding a participant. 

  • This error happens when you have provided an invalid contract ID.
  • Go to your oneflow account and check whether you have provided the same contract ID displayed in the oneflow side.
  • Make sure the contract ID mentioned in the Oneflow side matches the value provided in the Zap.
I get an error message “Failed to add new participant. A participant with the provided email address already exists” while adding a new participant.

  • If you get the above error while adding a participant to the contract, that means you are trying to add a participant who is already a participant of the contract.
  • Make sure that the new participant you are trying to add does not have the same email address of a participant who has been already added to the contract.
I get an error message "Failed to add new participant. Invalid format or content of the provided party ID." while adding a new participant. 

  • If you get the above error while adding a participant to the contract, that means the party ID provided by you is either not in correct format or is invalid.
  • Check the party ID value in your Oneflow contract and see whether it matches with the value you entered in the Zap.
I get an error message “The request parameter phone_number has the Problem "You tried to add a participant with a duplicate phone number."” while adding a new participant. 

  • If you get the above error while adding a participant to the contact, that means your new participant has the same phone number as an existing participant.
  • Make sure you give a phone number which does not match with an existing participant’s phone number in your Zap.
I get an error message “Failed to add attachment or extended PDF in Oneflow. The contract does not allow uploading attachments. Please check the documentation on how to upload files to a contract.” when adding an attachment or an extended PDF. 

  • If you get the above error while adding an attachment or an expanded pdf, that means the contract template you have chosen does not have an attachment or an expanded pdf section.
  • Check your contract template from oneflow side and see whether there is an attachment section. If not, add one and continue.
  • Make sure the contract template has an attachment section when you are trying to add an attachment or an expanded pdf through a Zap.
I get an error message “The file format is not allowed. Please check the documentation for valid file extensions." when adding an attachment or an expanded PDF 

  • If you get the above error while adding an attachment or an expanded pdf, that means the file you are trying to upload does not match with the attachment format you have chosen.
  • Check what type of attachment you have selected.
  • If you have selected the option as uploading an expanded PDF, then the file should be a PDF.
  • If you have selected to upload the file as an attachment, then the following types are allowed. “ASICE, BMP, CSV, DOC, DOCX, DOTX, GIF, JPEG, JPG, KEY, NUMBERS, ODS, PAGES, PDF, PNG, PPSX, PPT, PPTX, RTF, TIF, TIFF, TXT, XLS, XLSB, XLSM, XLSX, XML.”
  • Make sure the value selected for upload as and the file type you are trying to upload matches.
I get an error message “The request parameter contract_id has the problem. The requested contract does not exist or the user does not have access to it.” When trying to get contract details

  • If you get the above error while trying to get contract details, that means the contract ID value you provided is invalid.
  • Check whether the contract ID in oneflow side matches the value you entered. Make sure you have given the correct contract ID in the Zap.
I get an error message "Failed to get contract details. Internal error while performing the request. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact support." when trying to get contract details. 

  • If you get the above error while trying to get contract details, that means that either the user does not have access to the contract or it has been deleted.
  • To check whether the contract has been deleted, navigate to the contract in oneflow and see whether it’s visible.
  • Make sure that the user who is creating the zap has access to the contract.
I get an error “Failed to send contract to Oneflow. There is a conflict in the request. Please check the documentation and make sure that all prerequisites for the request are met” when trying to send a contract.

  • If you get the above error while trying to send a contract, that means there are few participants with invalid data added to the contract.
  • Check whether the participants of the contract have valid email addresses and valid phone numbers.
I get an error “Failed to send contract to Oneflow. The requested contract does not exist or the user does not have access to it.” when trying to send a contract.

  • If you get the above error while trying to send a contract, check if the contract is not deleted or if you have access to the contract.
  • To check if the contract is deleted, navigate to the contract in Oneflow and see if it is visible to your account.
  • Make sure the account you used in the zap has access to the contract you are trying to send.
I get an error “We're having trouble loading 'Template' data. The request parameter filter[workspace_ids] has the problem. "" is not a valid int” when trying to create a contract.

  • If you get the above error while trying to create a contract, that means you have not selected the Workspace in the related field.
  • Make sure that you fill all the required fields in the zap in an orderly manner.
I get an error “Failed to delete a contract. Invalid format or content of the provided contract ID.” when trying to delete a contract.

  • If you get the above error while trying to delete an existing contract, that means the contract ID you have provided is invalid. Check if the contract is not deleted or if you have access to the contract.
  • To check if the contract is deleted, navigate to the contract in Oneflow and see if it is visible to your account.
  • Make sure you are deleting the contract with the same Oneflow account as you used to create the Zap.
I get an error “Failed to download files. The requested contract does not exist or the user does not have access to it.” when trying to download a contract.

  • If you get the above error while trying to use a download contract, that means the contract ID you have provided is invalid. Check if the contract is not deleted or if you have access to the contract.
  • To check if the contract is deleted, navigate to the contract in Oneflow and see if it is visible to your account.
