Attach documents or files

Attaching files to a contract is a good way of adding necessary but perhaps too lengthy content to your contract.


Attachments are considered parts of the contracts, but only PDF attachments will be visible in the final PDF. You can download other files separately.
The contract view and the final PDF provide links for viewing and downloading the files.

Add an attachment

To add an attachment: 

  1. Go to the contract and click the button to add a new section.
  2. Add the Attachments section.
  3. Click the Add attachment button in the attachment section.
  4. You will now have the option to upload your file. Click Upload File and select a file from your device that you want to add to your agreement.
  5. You can rename your file after uploading it to make it more descriptive.
  6. Move the mouse pointer over your attachment, click the "pen," and enter the new name.
    Note: The file size limit is 20 MB

View attachments

An attachment will not be visible in the contract view unless you open it. To view an attachment:

  1. Hover over the attachment section to view the attachment menu.
  2. Click View to open the attachment in the contract view, or click Download to save and view it on your device.
    If you download the final contract as PDF, you can find the links for downloading attachments where you inserted them in the contract.
    If you've attached a PDF file, the system will add its contents in the entirety at the end of the contract PDF.

Tips and tricks

  • Both you and your counterpart can add attachments. Click the settings cogwheel for the attachment section and select Allow counterparts to add attachments.
  • Remember that attachments are not interactive like the Oneflow contracts. If you have an attachment that requires a counterpart's input, consider making it a part of your contract.
