Attaching files to a contract is a good way of adding content that is neccessary, but perhaps too lengthy to include in the contract form you've made.
Attachments are considered parts of the contracts but only PDF attachments will be visible in the final PDF.
Other files attached, like Excel or Word documents, can be downloaded separately.
Links for viewing and downloading the files are provided both in the contract view and the final PDF.
Adding an attachment
Go to the contract and select the "Edit Layout" view.
Click on the "Attachment" section in the sidebar to the left.
Drag and drop the attachment where you want it in the contract.
Go back to the "Create content" view and click on any of the "Add attachment"-alternatives.
All of them open the same menu - click "Select file" to choose a file from your device to add to your contract.
You can change the title of the file you've uploaded if you wish to make it more descriptive.
Then click on "Upload file" to add it to your contract.
* Please note that the file size limit is 20 MB
An attachment will not be visible in the contract view unless you open it. To look at it, move your mouse pointer over the attachment section to view the attachment menu.
Click on "View" to open the attachment in the contract view or click "Download" to save and view it from your own device.
If you download the final contract as a PDF, the links for downloading attachments can be found where you inserted them in the contract.
If you've attached a PDF file its contents will be added in their entirety at the end of the contract PDF.
Tips and tricks
- Both you and your counterpart can add attachments. Click on the settings wheel for the attachment section and select "Allow counterparts to add attachments".
- Remember that attachments are only attachments. That means they can't be made interactive in the same way a Oneflow contract can. If you have an attachment that requires a counterpart to make a choice or fill out a form, consider making it a part of your contract.
