This article explains how to create a flow using the Create Contract action in the Zapier–Oneflow integration. It assumes your Oneflow account is already connected to Zapier.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Your Oneflow account must already be connected to Zapier.
  • The Oneflow template must be published.
  • The user creating the contract must have access to the workspace and permission to create contracts from the template.
  • Your Zap must have a configured trigger.
  • To map data into the contract, the template must belong to a playbook containing the relevant data fields.

In Oneflow

Prepare your contract template

  1. Open the workspace where you want to create contracts and go to Templates.
  2. Open an existing template or click Create template to create a new one.
  3. Add the content and fields you need.
  4. If you want to populate data fields through Zapier, open Data fields, assign the template to the playbook containing your data fields, and insert the relevant data fields into the template.
  5. Save and publish your template.

You do not need a playbook named Zapier. For data mapping, use the playbook that contains the fields you want to populate.

In Zapier

Create a contract

  1. Open the Zap you want to use and test its configured trigger.
  2. Add an action step, search for Oneflow, and select it.
  3. Select Create Contract as the action event.
  4. Select your connected Oneflow account.
  5. Choose the Oneflow user who will create the contract. If the action asks for Oneflow Email, enter the contract creator's email address.
  6. Enter a Contract Name, if desired. You can use a fixed name or map a value from the trigger or an earlier step.
  7. Select the Workspace where the contract will be created.
  8. Select the Template to use.

The available workspaces and templates depend on the selected Oneflow account and contract creator.

Map data fields (optional)

  1. In How many data fields do you need to map while creating the contract?, enter the number of fields you want to populate.
  2. For each Custom ID of field n, select the relevant Oneflow data field.
  3. For each Value of field n, enter a value or map data from the trigger or an earlier step.

Provide both a field ID and a value for every field you choose to map. If you select the same field ID more than once, the later value replaces the earlier one.

Test and publish

  1. Open the Test tab and test the Create Contract action. This creates a contract in Oneflow.
  2. Check the action output for the contract's id and name, then review the created contract in Oneflow.
  3. Publish your Zap when you are ready to create contracts automatically whenever the trigger runs.

Your contract has been created! Creating a contract does not send it to participants. Adding participants and sending the contract are separate actions.

Troubleshooting

  • Your workspace or template is not available: Check the selected Oneflow account and contract creator. Make sure the creator has access to the workspace and template, and that the template is published.
  • Your data fields are not listed: Check that the selected template belongs to the playbook containing the relevant data fields.
  • Mapped values are missing or incorrect: Check that each selected field ID has a value and that you have not selected the same field ID more than once.
  • The contract was created but not sent: The Create Contract action only creates the contract. Sending requires a separate action.
