Do you sometimes have participants who need to approve a document but not sign it? Good news! We've introduced a new document role for exactly that: the Approver.

What is an Approver?

An Approver is someone who reviews and approves a document without signing it. This role is for example useful when someone needs to give the green light before the document moves forward in the signing flow.

Add an Approver to a Document

  1. Create a new document or open an existing one.
  2. Go to the participant list, and under "Additional options", enable Signing order.
  3. Click "Add colleague" or "Add counterparty".
  4. Fill in the required details, and under User role, select Approver.

How Approving Works

When it’s the approvers turn in the flow, they will need to click "Approve".
Once approved, the document automatically moves on to the next participant in the order.

NOTE
The Approver role can only be used in documents with signing order enabled.
An Approver cannot be the last participant in the signing order. There must be at least one Signatory after them.
